1. Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Pitchroom, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
If you obtained Pitchroom through the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard EULA also applies; where it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms govern except where the Standard EULA is more user-protective.
2. The service
Pitchroom is an iOS app that gives AI-assisted feedback on your spoken practice — oral exams, job interviews, presentations, and negotiations.
Pitchroom is a practice tool. It is not:
- A teacher, employer, examiner, lawyer, therapist, or coach.
- A substitute for professional preparation.
- A predictor of any real exam, interview, or negotiation outcome.
We don't guarantee that using Pitchroom will improve your performance, get you a job, or help you pass anything. We do think it usually helps.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Pitchroom. If you are under the age of legal majority in your country, you also need a parent or guardian's permission.
4. Your account
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of the information you give us.
- Keeping your account credentials safe.
- Everything that happens under your account.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pitchroom to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Use Pitchroom to generate content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts a real person without consent.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the AI models or our source code.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Pitchroom or its outputs.
- Circumvent our subscription or rate-limit mechanisms.
- Upload anyone else's voice, face, or personal data without their consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. AI-generated content
Pitchroom's feedback is generated by an AI model. AI feedback can be wrong, biased, or inappropriate. You should:
- Treat AI feedback as a suggestion, not an authority.
- Apply your own judgment, especially for high-stakes preparation.
- Report offensive output via Settings → Report Output.
We do not warrant that AI feedback is accurate, complete, suitable, or free of errors.
7. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation
7.1 Free tier
- 3 practice sessions per week, all 7 modes, basic AI feedback. No payment required, ever.
7.2 Pro tier
- Pro Monthly: $9.99 USD / 7,99 € (PPP-adjusted in other regions)
- Pro Yearly: $59.99 USD / 49,99 € (PPP-adjusted in other regions)
- 7-day free trial for new subscribers
- Unlimited sessions, deep analytics, full question library, all modes
7.3 Billing
- Apple processes all payments through your Apple ID.
- The subscription auto-renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
7.4 Refunds
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Request via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We don't issue refunds directly.
7.5 Changes to pricing
- We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. For existing subscribers, changes take effect at the next renewal and are announced at least 30 days in advance.
8. Intellectual property
- Pitchroom, its name, logo, design, and code are owned by the operator. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pitchroom for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Content you create (transcripts, recorded sessions) belongs to you. By using Pitchroom you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the service.
- AI feedback output is provided to you under the same license; you may use it freely for personal preparation.
9. Third-party services
Pitchroom relies on third-party services (Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, an AI provider). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the service they provide. See § 3 of our Privacy Policy for the current list.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pitchroom is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Pitchroom will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI feedback will meet your expectations.
Mandatory consumer rights under your local law are not affected by this section.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for direct damages in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) what you paid us in that period, or (b) 50 EUR.
- We are not liable for damages caused by your reliance on AI feedback for any high-stakes decision (passing an exam, accepting a job, agreeing to a salary, etc.).
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pitchroom at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if continued operation would expose us to legal risk, or if we discontinue the service.
If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice and offer a way to export your data.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in-app and via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always at https://pitchroom-app.pages.dev/en/terms. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
For consumers, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence still apply.
Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the operator's registered seat in Germany, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
